Welcome to Basic Medical Sciences DeptBasic Medical Sciences department has 3 units namely Anatomy, Biochemistry and Physiology. Premedical Sciences The Premedical Science Program is a foundation year introduced to provide the main recruitment base for all undergraduate programmes offered at College of Medicine. After successful completion of the programme, students proceed to year 1 of the undergraduate programmes: Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery; Bachelor of Pharmacy; Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Sciences; and Bachelor of Physiotherapy. The course structure covers six subjects: Biology, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Computer Skills, and Language and Communication. These subjects enhance the science base and provide a foundation for advanced courses in first year and in addition provides analytical and communication skills required throughout their training. |
