The various products of
this training program will be disseminated in several
ways.
The
course syllabi and related material developed by trainees for their
home institutions will be made publicly available on the project website,
along with complete references to publications resulting from trainees
research projects. These materials will also be available in hard copy.
Published
research projects will appear in African and international peer-
reviewed publications, identifying this project as a primary source of support
for the research.
Finally,
a culminating conference will be held in Year 4 to showcase the
research of successful trainees. The conference, entitled Developing World
Scholarship in Research Ethics, will include invited presentations by project
trainees, the work of other scholars from developing countries (selected on
a competitive basis), and invited papers on the theme by US research ethics
scholars. Support for expenses will be provided for all presentors.
