The College of Medicine offers a Master Degree in Medicine (MMED) in Anaesthesia, Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Paediatrics, Surgery, Ophthalmology and Orthopaedics. The training is divided into two parts. During the first part of the training (Years I and II), the students spend time in the designated department in the College as registrars. They spend the second part of the training at a collaborating institute outside Malawi. The students are also expected to conduct a research project and write a dissertation as part of a requirement for the degree.
