The standard of teaching and learning is one of the highest in the African region. External examiners, who are renowned academicians in Universities outside, evaluate our examinations.
The College of Medicine has 2 faculties namely: Faculty of Medicine and Faculty of Biomedical Science and Health Profession.
The Faculty of Medicine consist of 7 departments (Anaesthesia, Community Health, Medicine, Mental Health, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Paediatrics & Child Health and Surgery) and offers 4 programmes: Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), BSc. Health Management, Master of Public Health and Master of Medicine.
The Faculty of Biomedical Science and Health Profession has 4 departments (Basic Medical Sciences, Pathology & Laboratory Science, Pharmacy and Physiotherapy) and offers 3 programmes: Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science (Hon), Bachelor of Pharmacy (Hons), Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Hons).
