The consortium (SACORE) comprises three African universities and affiliated institutions with an emerging research environment (UNZA, UZ-CHS and CoM), three other African institutions with established research environments (SU, UCT and BHP) and four UK universities with high quality research environments (LSHTM, BTL, UCL, and Liverpool):
