Selection list and opening of the 2018/2019 academic year

The College of Medicine Management would like to inform candidates who were selected for the 2018/2019 intake to pursue their studies at the College that the academic year will commence on Monday, 13^th August 2018. 

FEES PAYMENT

All students are required to pay fees in full or in two installments to the following bank account:

All deposit slips clearly indicating student’s name, program of study and year of study must be brought to the College Cashier upon which a receipt shall be issued. Please note that the college’s  main accounts office does accept cash or cheque payments for fees, therefore all fees payments must be done at the bank.

                                Mature Entry Sponsored              :               MK1, 350, 000.00/year

                                Internationals    SADC                  :               US$5722.58/year

                                NON SADC                                      :               US$8722. 50/year

REGISTRATION

Every student MUST register if one is to be recognized as a student of the University of Malawi, at College of medicine. Registration is online and the period for registration will be from 13^th August to 24^th August 2018. Students are informed to take the registration process very seriously as there shall be no extension of registration after the two week period. Those who fail to register within the stipulated period are requested to put in writing their request to withdraw and reserve their place should they need to be accepted in the following academic year.

The Policy of the University of Malawi is “No Fees No Registration”, as such only those students who would have paid the required fees will be allowed to register within the registration period.

ACCOMMODATION

The College has limited space for accommodation and all students who wish to be considered for campus accommodation are requested to submit their dully completed application for accommodation forms by 11^th May 2018, to the Registrar, College of Medicine, Private Bag 360, Chichiri Blantyre 3, ATTENTION: Assistant Registrar (Academic), E-mail: accommodation@medcol.mw

All students who shall be given accommodation are expected to pay the rentals indicated in advance to the following bank account:

Failure to pay for the accommodation rentals by 31^st July 2018 shall imply that you no longer need the accommodation and hence it will be allocated to another student.

Those who shall not be given college accommodation are advised to find alternative accommodation before the opening date.
