Tender Notice – Invitation to bid for the construction of COM Administration block

TENDER NOTICE

CONSTRUCTION OF ADMINISTRATION BLOCK-BLANTYRE CAMPUS

  1. The College of Medicine has secured funds from Treasury for the construction of Administration Block on Plot No. BE 531- Blantyre Campus.
  1. The College therefore invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the following:

  1. Bidding shall be conducted in accordance with the provisions of the open tendering procedures, contained in the Public Procurement and Disposal of Assets Act 2017 and is open to all eligible bidders in Malawi.
  1. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from the College and inspect the bidding documents at the address given in paragraph 11 below. All queries must be made in writing to the same address or through modarchitects@broadbandmw.com and shall be made 14 days prior to bid submission deadline. Queries that fail to adhere to this time frame shall not be entertained.
  1. A complete set of bidding documents in English, may be purchased by interested bidders in person upon payment of a non-refundable fee of MK50, 000.00 (Fifty Thousand Kwacha) payable through the College of Medicine National Bank Rentals Account No. 1003263618.
  1. The Bid Documents can be corrected from the Procurement Office upon producing a receipt from account as a proof of payment. Physical address of both offices are The College of Medicine, Mahtma Gandhi Road, Histopathology Building, Blantyre.
  1. Instruction to bidders, Contract conditions, schedule of requirements and evaluation and qualification criteria are all provided in the Bid Document. Bidders are advised to carefully study the Bid Document and adhere to its requirements as failure to adhere to requirements shall risk disqualification.
  1. Tenders must remain valid for a period of 120 days after the deadline for submission of tenders.
  1. The College expects bidders under this tender to observe the highest standards of ethics. In pursuance of this, bidders shall be penalized if found to have indulged in any form of canvassing, collusion or corrupt practice.
  1. The sealed Bids clearly quoting The Name of the Procurement and the Tender Number shall be addressed to: The Chairperson, Internal Procurement and Disposal of Assets Committee, College of Medicine, Mahatma Gandhi Road, Histopathology Building, P.O. Box 360, Blantyre, Malawi.
  1. The Bids shall be deposited in the TENDER BOX on the second floor of the College of Medicine- Blantyre, Mahatma Gandhi Road, Histopathology Building, Blantyre not later than 10:30 Hrs. on 23/11/2020
  1. The bids will be opened on the same date, 23/11/2020 at 10:30 Hrs. in the Conference Room of the College of Medicine Histopathology Conference Room in Blantyre. Bidders or their representatives are free to attend the function.
