The students of the College are its main stakeholders. It is essential, therefore, that their interests be represented at every level. The post of Dean of Students was introduced to perform these duties. The Dean of Students is a senior member of staff selected through consultation between Management and the Students Union. S/he represents the students on those committees that relate to student affairs, but is also a first line of contact where any problem presents for a specific student, whether academic, financial, personal or social.

The Dean of Students has an important role and therefore, has to have the right personal qualities to keep the trust and interests of the student body.
