The College of Medicine, a constituent college of University of Malawi  is inviting applications from suitably qualified individuals to fill the position of Assistant Security Liaison Officer on a two year contract (Renewable based on satisfactory performance).

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Patrol campus grounds and ensuring all security posts are manned with appropriate security personnel as provided for in the contract with the service provider.
  2. Identifying security risks, and submitting proposals of how to reduce the same to Management with the Security Liaison Officer.
  • Ensuring that buildings, unoccupied rooms, car parks and security systems are safe and secured.
  1. Act as the first point of contact between the security service providers and the College.
  2. Provide advice to staff and students on security and safety issues.
  3. Investigating all security incidences in coordination with the service provider and Police when necessary
  • Provide weekly reports on attendance of security personnel
  • Enforce College security regulations by ensuring that the service provider has full information of the same
  1. Undertake other general duties to provide security support to staff, students and visitors as directed.



Qualification and Experience

  • Candidates  must possess a minimum of Malawi Schools Certificate of Education.
  • Possession of a Diploma in Security studies will be an added advantage
  • Three years  working experience  as a professional security personnel.
